Can you do the rest of the world now so we can get this over with?

I have no insight on anything to do with your specific circumstances but can provide a bit of insight into leaving a country in general.

Earlier this year my wife and I moved our family to the UK from the US. Our biggest hurdle was finding employment that offered sponsorship for a visa. My employer offered to sponsor for the max term of 5 years which we happily took as after 5 years you can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain and stay without a visa. The next hurdle was paying for the visas. 5 years all at once was about $35k IIRC. Thankfully we had been talking about wanting to move for awhile now and saved for the effort. Restarting life also came with significant expenses as you'll likely be living out of a suitcase while apartment whatnot gets everything resituated.

TLDR; find target countries, save a lot of money, find a job that's sponsors, be patient and take each day as it comes.

I heard it wasn't doing well in the theater but damn. One month at the box office then digital release? Talk about trying to get as much money back as quickly as they can.

I always have to go back and think about the George Carlin bit with him talking about the terminology of "near miss". They really should be called near hits!

As someone who recently moved to the UK, how at they so expensive? The price for the unit isn't that bad, but I assume duct works to all rooms would be? Maybe I'm just not understanding apples to apples coming from the US.

I think your aside is a pretty big point...

He isn't moving any of his finances is what I've read. Simply to change residence so that he can evade a one time CA wealth tax. Imagine being his kid, losing your entire friend circle, routines, etc, and being moved to another country with completely different climate, customs, hell even language, just because you filthy rich ass dad doesn't want to be SLIGHTLY filthy ass rich...

Talk about passing the buck...

Question in title. Just wondering as I saw France had proposed an initiative to withdraw because of the US' shenanigans....
