The law is not the only means of protecting life, but it plays a key and often decisive role in affecting both human behavior and thinking. Those called to civil leadership, as Pope John Paul II reminds us, "have a duty to make courageous choices in support of life, especially through legislative measures." This is a responsibility that cannot be put aside, "especially when he or she has a legislative or decision-making mandate, which calls that person to answer to God, to his or her own conscience and to the whole of society for choices which may be contrary to the common good." The Gospel of Life, no. 90

Sounds like he's endorsing the "pro life" candidate to me...

Literally no one is making you defend him.

You are choosing to defend him and then blaming other people for it. Please, just be honest with yourself.

I'm not even sure what you are even defending him from.

I'm not saying he shouldn't vote, I'm not saying he shouldn't express his opinions.

I'm responding to the other person who claimed the Pope never endorses anyone. Cause that is bullshit. I gave an example of when that was false and you came crashing in cause you got angry.

You brought up morality, I pointed out their lax idea of morality.

They have no problem keeping their mouths shut when it suits them.

Get back with me when they deal with the sex offenders in their ranks.

I mean..they basically endorse Republicans every chance they get.

Like you say, they weigh in on abortion. They say abortion is murder, Democrats support abortion, therefore Democrats are evil satanists baby killers.

I remember the "Vote for life" bumper stickers

So:

One out of ~12 windows versions not installing a driver = bad

Only 3 Linux distros out of hundreds installing a driver = good

Got it.

Also damn near every Linux distro has some sort of bloatware. There's always apps I don't want because I won't use them or because I prefer something else. I didn't install them, they came with the distro. They are bloatware.

Ubuntu comes to mind as the biggest offender.

Meanwhile on my Windows PC the correct Nvidia drivers always download and work right out of the box.

For Linux that varies distro from distro.

[-] SarcasmIntended@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Tell that to every one of my installs.

Literally every time I try a distro, I have to hope the NVIDIA drivers download and actually work. Then I have to hope the distro actually switches between it and the integrated GPU.

What doesn't help your argument is that it seems Netflix ran the concerts under "kpop Demon Hunter" not "Demon Hunter"

Also it doesn't help that there are 65 entries of bands with "Queen" in their name in the metal genre alone.

You can buy a controller at any place that sells motors or Arduinos. None of my printers have their stock controller.

The firmware most controllers run is often a modified version of one of the different open source 3d printer firmwares (klipper, Marlin, etc)

You can even choose to compile and flash the firmware yourself (often just load bin file to sdcard and insert into board)

But all of that is moot because the controller and firmware are not capable of that level of processing. You would have to implement it on the slicer level, and even that wouldn't work because most of them are open source.
