Crash Team Racing would like to have a word.

I've got one of the original models. I just have it set up with the TRMNL cloud version at the moment and it's pretty cool, but there is a setup where you can run a HA add-on to mirror a dashboard to the screen. I would miss my imprecise literature clock though...

You can stream from your own library or whatever streaming service you like all through one system and app. I have local files, Spotify, Bandcamp, and Qobuz accounts as sources and they're all treated as equal citizens. Personally I much prefer "owning" the music, but I take your point about discovery.

I use it and find it really good. I have it running in a Docker container on my media server rather than a HomeAssistant add-on.

The interface is a bit clunky, but that's my only real complaint. There are some third party apps available that ease the pain of this a bit - I use Ensemble on Android.

The main strength is the ease with which you can add multiple different sources and have them work side by side. I do get some duplication, but that's usually because the Spotify version of an album is the deluxe or something along those lines.

HomeAssistant integration is great. You can easily automate playing tracks/albums/playlists - I have a wireless button under the kitchen table that triggers my choice of playlist on a double press and my wife's on a single press.

Sendspin is fantastic - it's practically effortless to have multiple players with different protocols playing in sync. Really looking forward to this protocol developing more, since the unfinished version is so good!

Yep, single most important difference in my view and the reason I pay an Office subscription.

Out of interest, when's the last time you tried? So many games now seem to have Linux compatibility because of Valve's push for the Steam Deck (and Machine). I'm in the same boat as you though, still haven't taken the plunge.

I'm currently waiting for an Anbernic rg-35xx to arrive, but this was definitely on the shortlist during my research! In the end, availability and the joysticks were the deciding factors, but interested to hear how you think those two compare.

I had this just last night and didn't realise. Everything else was working fine, but then I glanced at my phone and realised that it was 2 hours later than the computer was showing.

Yes, and I think it serves as a microcosm of a lot of recurring ideas and themes that crop up again and again in the rest of the series.

Huh, interesting.

I'm intrigued, how did you post this on Mastodon and Lemmy simultaneously?

Actually, they seem to be launching into a new phase of compatibility, with a version 2 component set being discussed on their website that has much broader capabilities.

Mr Daley said the Freemasons regularly take bookings from media organisations for the use of their premises, but "always insist on knowing before it takes place, who the interviewer and interviewee are, and what the content is to make sure that it sits with our organisation’s morals and principles". However, in this case, he said they only received that information "at the last moment", about an hour before the interview was conducted. "When it came to my attention, I then debated with some of my colleagues. Would we cancel it or would we let it go ahead? And we decided in our wisdom that we just let it go," Mr Daley said. Asked why he decided to allow the interview to proceed, he said it was because they got an assurance from the media company that all of the backgrounds would be blurred and that there would be no reference to the Freemasons' Hall.
