Honestly for me, more choice isn't really better. But then again I like android better than apple. Which is also more choice.

I have been wondering wether this is the case too. The search results on Google have really worsened the last few years, in my experience.

Wow, thanks for this elaborate explanation. This really takes a lot of doubt away. I'm not going to do this tomorrow or anytime soon. But chances of me actually going there have improved significantly!

I want to but i have no idea how. If it was simply installing 'Linux' I would have done it already. But there are many 'versions'? I am unsure which and how to proceed.

My partner struggles being alone with the two children (lemmy.world)
 

To give an idea of our family: My partner and I have two children with two other parents. We are two fathers and they are two mothers. We both live in our own houses and the children are with us half of the time. But I guess explaining that further is a topic for another time when there is interest (let me know).

What I struggle with at the moment is my partner. And I would like some advice or maybe somebody who can relate. My partner wanted children so much when we started all this, but lately after our second child is born he seems different. He cannot deal with two children alone and finds it very difficult to handle the crying of our newborn and the needs and nagging of our 2yo. We all have a parenting day that we are alone with the children (with exception of one of the mothers who is also still there every after 8h to ensure the right bonding). He gets really stressed out, tired and emotional. His coping strategy is to try to contol everything about the two children and he seems obsessed with them both sleeping. In his opinion they are both always tired and should sleep more. Anything I try to say to help makes him angry and makes him feel like he is a bad parent. I can wait untill it gets better, but he is so stressed.. I don't want him to get burned out or something.

I find locking it with my overlock a lot faster and easier. The result looks less finished though. Maybe locking with a nice colour thread could give it a nice touch.

I’ve also seen a biasband foot, made for stitching with biasband on my sewing machine. But maybe I have a tendency to solve problems with machines too much..

I made a piece of cloth for over the shoulder and finished with biaisband. It is to catch any throw up from my baby after feeding.

I made pockets at each end to catch throw up from pouring over the edge. It's not really how I intended it to end up. But I will test it and improve it with the next few.

Working with biaisband is new for me. It's time consuming, but gives a nice result!
