There's no multiplication in this question - multiplication refers literally to multiplication signs - only division and brackets, and addition within the brackets. So you have to use The Distributive Law to solve the brackets, then do the division, giving you 1.
Correct! 2(2+2) is a single term - subject to The Distributive Law - and 2x(2+2) is 2 terms. Those who added a multiply sign there have effectively flipped the (2+2) from being in the denominator to being in the numerator, hence the wrong answer.
But it's not called "implicit multiplication" - it's Terms and/or The Distributive Law which applies (and they're 2 separate rules, so you cannot lump them together as a single rule).

But you broke the rule of left-associativity there. You can go right to left provided you keep each number with the sign to it's left (and you didn't do that when you separated the first 2 in brackets from it's minus sign).

It's left to right within each operator. You can do multiplication first and division next, or the other way around, as long as you do each operator left to right. Having said that, you also can do the whole group of equal precedence operators left to right - because you're still preserving left to right for each of the two operators - so you can do multiplication and division left to right at the same time, because they have equal precedence.
Having said that, it's an actual rule for division, but optional for the rest. The actual rule is you have to preserve left-associativity - i.e. a number is associated with the sign to the left of it - and going left to right is an easy way to do that.

The university people, who've forgotten the rules of Maths, certainly say that, but I doubt Primary School teachers would say that - they teach the first stage of order of operations, without coefficients, then high school teachers teach how to do brackets with coefficients (The Distributive Law).
Indeed it just so happens that Maho is someone who not only investigated ActivityPub, but made his own implementation of it for his own blog(!), rather than using the Wordpress plug-in (but for the DevBlogs account he just used the Wordpress plug-in). And yes, you need a bot to propagate the content of a non-human account - the posts from the Communities here are propagated out to Mastodon and where-ever via a bot.
But yeah, in this context I was talking about you can now follow the blog from Mastodon or Pixelfed or where-ever - one less separate website to check for my tech news, gets brought straight to my feed :-)

When a new post is made in a Community here, the relevant Community bot sends out a link to the post (see screenshot of post the .NET Community bot sent out about this post) - is this Community federated? Same answer.

P.S. not sure if you're aware (I wasn't until I became a mod) but more than a dozen (don't remember the exact number) of the "subscribers" to each Community are actually the bots which propagate the content out to other servers.

I'm used to there being grumpy people around now. ;-) (they're somewhat unpredictable too - wait what? Why are you downvoting that?! 😂) I had nothing but positive reaction from the dotnet and MAUI communities. I think it maybe didn't come across well enough here that even though there's focus on dotnet/MAUI, what I'll be talking about is applicable to any programmer who wants to find out how to get more out of the Fediverse. i.e. here's the MAUI version of this tool, but said tool would also exist for other languages too, and if you can't find it here's the public repo where you could fork it. That was the reason I posted it here too anyway.
