The problem is people making shit up. There is no evidence, argument, or reason suggesting the existence of any god. It is backwards, wishful thinking and very harmful.

Magic isn't real, nor are spirits and souls. Reality is endlessly fascinating, please do not obscure it. People are dying because the average human thinks it's okay to treat assumptions like facts. Accountability is impossible when you've normalized delusion.

That said, this article list two major incidents in this child's life, both of them centered around violence as conflict resolution.

Neither of which he chose, based on available information.

I don't like the idea of people thousands of years after my death pretending to know me. You get an echo at best, an image. Jesus is whatever you want him to be because he's not here to prove otherwise.

I have lived in the bible belt all my life, still trying to escape. People are proud of their beliefs even though they aren't true. "Everyone is entitled to their beliefs" is the common sentiment, but it's wrong. Everyone is morally obligated to align their beliefs with reality as closely as they can.

That's where science comes in. It is not an authority, not a religion, not a system. It is a process we use to acquire and refine knowledge. Given the physical limitations of our senses and minds, it is the best we can do.

People need to learn before we all die of stupid.

I was late on my first day for the same reason. 🙃 But I soon realized my mistake and worked with them for a couple of years before moving on to something else.

Yeah. The right is an audience that enjoys shit like Jeff Dunham. Less clever satire, more "HUHUHUH THE RACIST PUPPET SAID A RACIST THING I AGREE WITH UNIRONICALLY"

Kids are also susceptible:

3.2% of youth players (ages 9–14) concussed each season and higher risk in tackle-heavy roles like offensive linemen

To be clear, he was shot sometime after the incident where he defended the girl, reason unknown. But I agree with your sentiment.

Yeah. It's so unnecessary. "The threat has been neutralized. ...Now let's kill him."

According to him:

That is the reason I post a lot. For the pursuit of knowledge and engagement. No one gets it but for lack of a better term “get off” on deep long wall of texts. Plus I take about 500mg of welbutrin so that may be it to. Thanks for the reply. Have a good weekend.

Thank you for hosting life-saving technology. Check out some of the responses here: https://blog.torproject.org/how-has-tor-helped-you-we-need-your-stories/

Used Tor for researching secret political surveillance by a government. Led to three major media exposes over a ten year period.

I am a netizen from China, I use Tor to protect my privacy against government and ISP's surveillance.

Used Tor to obtain documents from Wikileaks, which helped expose local surveillance by military units of janitorial union organizing meetings, groups pressing for the rights of migrant workers, etc.

I live in Iran and I have been using Tor for censorship circumvention. During political unrest while the government tightens grip on other censorship circumvention alternatives, Tor with obfuscation plugins remain the only solution.

But if our own country is an authoritarian country, the first way works just as well.

A song I wrote about my parents.

I am not a professional musician, I am a broken human being.
