You can install .deb files with apt by prepending a ./, e.g. sudo apt install --no-install-recommends ./docker-desktop-4.30.0-amd64.deb would work. I usually avoid using dpkg unless I have to.

Also:

• That deb file is for docker desktop, which you said you didn't want?
• Is insapp an alias or something?
• You were running sudo apt-get install -f before, was your install already broken?

I've had bad experiences with ntfs3 anyway, so it's probably for the best that ntfs-3g is the default. Also last I checked ntfs3 had effectively been orphaned by paragon (the developers), is that still the case?

They were expecting it to not be Android, but something more custom. Like I feel even just bare bones Linux would've been more acceptable.

Cloudflare Tunnels will let you proxy any port, as long as it's HTTP(S) or SSH, even on free tier.

Also I believe there's a thing now for proxying other ports anyway on free tier without tunnels, but I haven't looked too much into it.

Windows 11 Home does have BitLocker, it's just a very simplified version of BitLocker without most of the options. Like it's basically just on or off in the settings, no way to manually backup the key or anything else. But changing certain things will trigger the enter BitLocker key screen at boot.

Thanks for this, I was wondering why Linux was using more power (on my UPS) compared to Windows.

I just added amd_pstate=passive to grub and it brought it down ~15 watts, there's other options but I believe they require kernel 6.3 or higher. More info here.

Also I was using this before but for other people, if your it87 based sensors aren't showing up, frankcrawford maintains an updated it87 module.

http://google.com/ works fine for me, tested in Firefox and with curl -6. So it could actually be your side that is broken, although it is probably your ISP's.
