Ahoy, and welcome to the high seas! There is a handy Wiki that may cover a lot of your questions, I suggest you give it a look and then follow-up with any additional questions you may have. (The link is also available in the sidebar of this community, if you ever need to find it quickly again without finding this post!)
I would like to add Movim to this list. It's developed on the XMPP standard. The developer is even adding "Spaces" to match Discord's server/community style, using existing XMPP standards to maintain compatibility.
It's not a one-to-one, but it's more secure, decentralized, self-hostable, open-source, and can fill a few bonus niches (like blogging or Facebook replacement).
Bummer, I was enjoying the community.
Did something happen to the Fluxer community? It's suddenly gone from my list (with no "!" outage symbol, just gone) along with the second one that was established for ApexSync. Curious where else to follow the community while ApexSync is still in development.
This. There's a reason they've suddenly coined and repeatedly abused the term "narco-terrorist" because they get a free pass with no oversight.
Thank you for the recommendation, had not heard of this. Looks great!
EA App was the only issue I faced, otherwise all three games ran great via Proton. Tried using old Origin rollbacks for offline play, but it would break after a session or two. Recommend playing with an online connection if using a copy that requires the EA App.
How does it compare to Obsidian? Other than being FOSS which is a win.
What they teach: humans only have five senses (touch, smell, etc) What is true: humans have ~20-30 senses (including time, balance, and many more)
