There is definitely a layer of the AI space thats smoke and mirrors around its marketing but that tends to take the shape of empty promises for how it will improve our lives. Most of the AI god talk rarely if ever intersects with that from what ive seen.

They've already moved past LLMs and I dont think anyone in the space is pushing LLMs as an end all be all to AGI. Its pretty widely understood to be one of the building blocks towards AGI.

I'd recommend you look a bit more into this notion of an AI god they talk about because they dont talk about it as a type of selling point in most cases. They speak of it as an inevitability more in the vain of them appeasing rokos basalisk. At this point its almost a type of proto-religion in many circles. Their concepts around the end goal of capitalism being AGI doesn't come across as marketing. It comes off more like religious prophecy from a true believer.

I dont know, the alternative is them just continuing to rely on funding from the government(AKA all of us funding them). If they can find a way to monetize AI while they work towards their stated goal of AGI then im not necessarily opposed to it. There is a lot of things I dislike about the way these major tech companies are going about AI but them trying to figure out a way to monetize it is pretty low on my list. Im FAR more concerned with what they are doing in regards to their governmental partnerships like forcing datacenters in everywhere they can and helping to facilitate the genocide in Gaza with their AI kill chains.

Yea, it sounds like you've got a medical problem. As a guy I obviously dont know first hand but I have been in a 15 year relationship that averages sex 3-4 times a week and I can pretty confidently say that putting things up there should feel good. Hell, I dont think the strap-on market would exist if it didnt. Too many lesbians doing things to eachothers holes for it all to be some mass trauma response thats turning pain into pleasure.

It makes perfect sense if you believe you are building an AI god and plan to merge your consciousness with it. Money was just a tool they are using to achieve this goal.

Look into the writings of people like Nick Land, a guy a lot of these AI pioneers revere.

Because they are trying to find a route to commercialize the technology and make it profitable so that it isnt wholly reliant on outside funding.

As far as i can tell women do actually enjoy putting things up there. Hard to imagine the sex toy market would be as big as it is if this was some collective hallucination to mask pain.

Again, dude here but I assume the reason doctors tell you to brace yourself for things like that is because inserting things isnt pleasurable unless you are properly aroused and I cant imagine many women are aroused by medical checkups.

I'd wager your issue is more that you arnt properly aroused when you are putting things up there....that OR you've got some kind of medical condition that you should probably bring up to a doctor.

Well they clearly have yea but they are also under increased global scrutiny given the genocide. Its logical that as the pressure continues to mount they will turn to more covert means of continuing their genocide in which case we're back to the pager incident.
