Any clue if Tempus supports Jellyfin music servers? Their readme seems to indictate its for Subsonic servers only.

My dream is an open source android music player that supports Jellyfin music servers and automatically requests transcoded/full quality audio based on if I'm on a WiFi or mobile data connection.

Haven't found one quite yet.

I personally use a music tagging/renaming program called Picard. Point it at a relatively unorganized music folder, it tries to identify each track based on the existing metadata or acoustic signature, adds/modifies the track metadata based on the Music Brainz database, and runs a custom renaming script that moves it into place per my preferences.

Its not as automated as I would like, and takes some hand holding, but keeps my collection clean and standardized.

What benefits does navidrome provide as a separate music server if jellyfin can host your music already?

What VPN/server do you use? I use Grayjay without logging into my YouTube account at all I find it very unreliable over every Private Internet Access VPN server I've tried. YouTube seems to block all the providers IP ranges.

You are not going to get a free email service that respects your privacy, as others have said if it's free you are the product.

I went with fastmail over encrypted alternatives like proton and tuta because they don't support using IMAP to connect with your email client of choice (Thunderbird android/windows) and that convenience was more important to me than the encryption. Fastmail also has calendar and contacts which you can also connect to Thunderbird.

Also if you are going through the effort of changing email providers then now would be a good time to look into buying your own domain to use in order to decouple your address from the email provider.

I didn't like that Tuta didn't support IMAP which means I am locked in to using their client. I self host my own CalDAV and carddav servers for calendar and contacts and wanted a single client for mail/calendar/contacts. Without IMAP support I could not do that. I ended up going with fastmail and am okay with the privacy tradeoff of no end to end encryption.

For my servers I try to use names from the Final Fantasy universe. Lately been focusing on FFXI end game bosses.

Kirin (opnsense firewall) Byakko (proxmox host) Tiamat (proxmox backup) Shiva (Nas)

The only clever virtual machine names I care to brag about are: DockBox (VM running docker) Jellxc (proxmox lxc running jellyfin)
