Wallabag might be what you're after.

Sadly seems like it, and either way I don't think a security critical app like a browser going ghost mode for so long is acceptable. If you're using Play or the Aurora store, brave is an option otherwise its only Graphene and Vanadium I'm aware of.

Wanting more diverse experiences and perspectives is exactly why its beneficial having large amounts of people concentrated in one community. People want to be able to interact with a large amount of people, in one place where they can get the benefit of the collective knowledge and experience.

Appreciate the work on the app so far, was great to have an open source app and one on F-Droid to replace infinity. Looking forward to seeing it's continued development.

I really hope that is the case, I wouldn't be on board with swapping my open source reddit app for a proprietary fediverse one.

A year is a long time to go without an update especially when so many features are still missing. If I recall previously the app was seeing very regular releases. Doesn't inspire much confidence in the project, although I hope im mistaken as i think it has a lot of potential.

I agree, it should be transparent and decided on by the instance but think even a few beginner oriented defaults would be helpful. I think the onboarding and default lemmy experience is quite poor and anything to reduce friction for new users should be encouraged if it can be done transparently.

I was following this for a while but see it hasn't received an update in a year now, is it abandoned?
