We will have a review of how we write posts and follow up in the comments later today to make sure we are clearer in our communication, and that we don't end up with 3 different admins chiming in on separate comments.

I still don’t like it, but if you are disclosing it properly and you’re not offshoring the data that is monitored, that will earn you some goodwill.

We try to always make pinned announcements when making notable changes to our operation to keep the community informed. Any changes, minor or major, that we believe our users would want to know, we will always post about here.

It really sounds like Lemmy software is trailing behind on keeping up with the bots.

Lemmy is trailing behind when it comes to moderation tools just in general, which is what that is forcing us to make our own tools to help with moderation.

The discussion has gotten completely off-topic. I'll lock the the thread until the moderators (@anzo@programming.dev @dwraf_of_ignorance@programming.dev) starts responding to reports.

Lovely work, Jerboa is nice, but old habits die hard and boost is what I'm used to.

My only complaint is that BankID won't allow me to pay to remove ads, but that's not really the fault of the app.

Can anyone who is a moderator confirm that they don't have access to mod tools? As an admin, I can't see an option for checking out reports, or for a way to ban/purge users. Seems like I still need the Web browser for those things.

The game has just launched and the mod had been released and cracked already. This isn't about making bread, it's clearly a trivial hack for him to do, not something that requires full time job maintenence.

People spend hundreds of hours modding free of charge, what he does is a joke in comparison if we are talking about lost time that could have been spent earning money. The groundwork was made by Bethesda, AMD and Nvidia.

His "work" as you put it, is the only thing of value on the site. SO without users to provide answers are worth zero dollars, so I'm not sure why you put work in quotation mark.

How many exceptions do you need before it no longer being an exception, 50%?

My impression is that it was a reference to confederate statues/stuff being removed. I don't think there are many non-Americans that really care about that topic which is why I specified.

Can someone tell me what their angle is? Are user's supposed to curate and help train the model for free? Is it just a model trained on stackoverflow data?

All their data is open so what edge do they over the already established competition.

Try downloading a png from a site that converts to webp for their CDN services. It's my only real complaint, but it's damn annoying going into the Firefox config just to download a simple image. I don't mind them displaying it as webp, but let me download the source image
