The citation I found for you changed my argument. The original citation I had didn’t inform me of all the information needed to understand how much everyone is paid. The starting pay sucks. I rescind my previous position. I stand with the union on this.
UnpopularCrow
I support unions but these port workers make a shit ton of money (1 in 3 make 200k per year). They turned down a 50% pay increase plus continued automation avoidance and more employer retirement contributions because they know they can fuck over the US economy during an election year. Downvote me if you want but this is a hostage negotiation.

I actually disagree with my post. According to the article I just read, I was correct about how much some of them make (1/3 make $200k or more), but the starting pay does suck ($20 an hour). The average salary was $59k a year. I was wrong and ill informed. Alright, I’ll stand with the union on this one. I agree with their demand.
One day I will learn to spell!
I would love to believe that, but laws don’t apply to the wealthy and powerful in the USA. Trump has committed countless crimes and he is still running for president with a coin toss chance of winning despite sedition and treason. I’ll eat my words if he is ever convicted of anything that actually puts him in jail. But I highly doubt this document changes anything.
In order for any of this document to contain “damning allegations” would require anyone who is already voting for Trump to have morals, critical thinking skills, and/or common sense. I would argue the influence this entire document has on voting intentions is in the single digits … and not percentage points.
That said, I’m still glad they released it.

From the article:
However, the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health said a decision has been made not to take in any patients from Gaza because "Finland does not have the necessary resources to respond to the patient evacuation requests". The ministry added that, with limited resources, "Finland has decided to prioritise assistance to Ukraine with regard to patient evacuations."
Seems reasonable to me.
They should be considered for expulsion from the college, not simply suspended from the swim team. Hopefully that is currently being discussed. This is bullying, assault, and a hate crime. Also given that the victim didn’t want to formally press charges, you can probably throw in intimidation as well.
And his followers won’t give a shit. That is the state of the GOP. As long as he is a Republican, that’s all that matters.
Lol. After I wrote that I realized how it came off. Bad grammar.
My science falls more on the mesosphere/stratosphere side from space weather effects (top down rather than bottom up). However, SSW events are fascinating phenomena and have profound impacts on potentially all layers of the atmosphere. I’m currently developing (with lots of help) a high-top forecasting model that extends from the surface to the thermosphere. Forecasting SSW events are something we are hoping to improve with this model having a fully resolved mesosphere. I’ll edit my original post as I was hard on your article. I’ll also DM you my email and we can chat further.
I don’t mind admitting when I’m wrong. I can’t grow as a human without altering my views to adapt to the facts.
