Respect to her for being brave enough, as a public figure, and risking an endless torrent of backlash.

In this case, not engaging would mean intentionally choosing to shut down a government that has services that directly impact those constituents. Meeting with them is the bare minimum of their job.

I can’t imagine Trump had any good faith negotiations so it’s a fool’s effort, but it’s their job to try, nonetheless.

because that’s what the left does unless it’s against their own. it’s infuriating to watch the party fight itself harder than it’ll fight the opposition
