The fifth season was intended to be the end of the story, it would have been the right place, the original creator bowed out at that point I believe. It was kept alive.
I believe OP's talking about refrigerating the cooked beans and then keeping for a week or two depending on salt.
It's a cougar, mountain lion, or a catamount. It's not a member of the genus panthera. It's not even really a subspecies of cougar, it's just a name has more to do with people than the genetics of the animal.
