Only ever played soccer, but man did I ever only play soccer. Great game, the black girl with the red hat was the GOAT

So... Is this a good thing? Bad thing? Gut reaction says that probably not the greatest for GOG, being detached from a huge publisher like CD Projekt probably isn't great for a niche marketplace. In their faqs it states that GOG had a strong year financially but they would of course bill it that way. The question about why the new owner did so also just sounded disingenuous.

Interested to see where this goes from here. While I love gog and am a patron, their Linux support leaves a lot to be desired. The sole fact that cloud saves are such a pain to get working has led me to switch back to steam. I hope with these changes they can maybe get some support on Linux.

Currently pulling my hair out with Tactics Ogre: Reborn. Got kind of fed up with the changes from the older games so halfway through I decided to blitz through the game and avoid anything optional; currently at the last few fights before the final boss and am feeling very afraid I'm going to get stuck at the end...

It scares me to learn someone pronounces them the same...

Typical air force, always over briefing things, a Naruto run should be more than enough to deter any geese...

Fujoshi (腐女子) is the Japanese word for what you're mentioning, which I'm sure is not what they're using China. I can offer no further insight than that.

This one has really surprised me. I'm not sure when this became so widespread, I guess because of tiktok? I feel like almost every channel I watch the advertiser unfriendly words are censored or are substituted with unalived or something. Pretty unfortunate.

Seriously, people saying that about pepe here reminds me of conservatives saying video games are the problem. It's like come on, I don't think the 19 year old woman streaming stardew valley on twitch to 12 people and posting okayge in chat even knows what a 4chan is lol

I have no doubt it's incredibly easy to dox someone from upvotes alone. Maybe not on lemmy because interactions are just a lot more infrequent, but on reddit if you upvote posts about Omaha Nebraska, retro game collecting, Subaru wrx, and e bikes, you really narrow down your choice of people. If you just had one other bit of information about the user, like just a general photo or where they went to high school you could definitely nail someone down.

I really do hate this part of the Lemmyverse and wish it was all obfuscated. That with it being impossible to delete your posts really limits how much I want to interact with the site.

Really hope they move the clans to the base game. I never buy games at launch but if I'm interested enough will at the first sale. This one will heavily rely on reviews though lol

In theory that sounds good but I don't really get how it'd work. I mean what if you just lived four hours away so your commute there and back was just your eight hours? That's obviously ridiculous so what's the cut off? Like an hour? How does that affect breaks and lunch if you do live an hour away so you're only working six hours? Or is it just like a premium pay, like you earn 10% of your salary on your way in?

I wonder if any company actually does this.

I've used it for a while. It's good enough but you can tell it's still early days for the site. It'll sync your achievements and playtime with steam and gog so that's cool but then it'll lag a bit maneuvering around the site and remind you that the products not fully done. They also offer a premium subscription where you can get early access to features and other promotions but I haven't ever really felt the need to get that. Honestly my biggest hangup is that they're just newer; if the site dies then I'm concerned with all of my tracking just going poof one day since I write little journal entries for them to remind me how I felt about certain games. Overall it's fine, but maybe check out some others first.

I have YouTube music and... It's pretty awful. Ytmusic will sync your liked YouTube videos with your liked music playlist. So I'll shuffle my playlist and get this or like a 10 minute music video where half of it is just people talking.
