I don't even know if I'm diagnosed. My psychiatrist started treating me for it and it worked wonders so.... Maybe? I've just never bothered asking.

An AIO or air cooler aren't as impactful as the environment in my experience. Throw your computer in the corner of a room and that AIO ain't gonna help.

If you do go AIO, make sure you do it right.

Either case, good airflow design does wonders - air cooled or AIO.

For an open source system I think it's mainly just a matter of when. Granted there are currently complaints with the licensing for the system, so that might hurt/kill traction.

My puppy is 14 years old and this possibility terrifies me. I don't have enough PTO to cover the time I feel like I'll be broken. I'm sorry for your loss :(

TIL about sealioning. This happened to me the other day in-game. Though it only got 1 rotation before I blocked them. Not about to waste my leisure time on this.

If I have to use an ad blocker to make a site remotely usable (and you have to to make it usable), then I don't even want to give them traffic.

Not me, but my parents, though I discovered it during a visit.

Bats. They had a bat infestation. This was up at the highest point of the house in the loft, they were remodeling and left the walls open - a hole to the outside let one in, and I guess a bunch decided it was a nice place to hang out. There were dozens.

As for dealing with it - bats are endangered, so you can't exterminate them. If I remember correctly the total spend was just over 10 grand. This also included installing multiple permanent one way doors so if any bats manage to get in again, they have multiple ways to get out.

I will point out that, in the US at least, an official diagnosis isn't required to get those meds. It's just a lot easier to be prescribed them with it. I'm not officially diagnosed but I do see a psychiatrist who was willing to try them with no prompting from me.

Ultimately though they didn't work out because of the impact on my blood pressure, I'm on non-scheduled ADHD meds now that have made a huge difference.

Billionaires, and basically everything capitalism stands for, is such a scourge on humanity. If life were a video game, this guy would be on a few leaderboards. But it isn't, life should be about individual contributions for a greater good, not this.

Netflix you just can't get from Google Play, but people report having no problem installing from Aurora (basically a Google Play store frontend).

I'm not sure how it works on Graphene as I personally just rooted my phone but didn't take the plunge to Graphene, but there is a list of compatible banking apps here: https://privsec.dev/banking

It already is being used to make CSAM. I work for a hosting provider and just the other day we closed an account because they were intentionally hosting AI generated CSAM.

I was always mildly overweight growing up, despite doing enough sports and physical activity to be relatively fit. One day a flip switched and I started going to the gym daily. 6 months later, while doing cardio I pulled something or otherwise hurt myself and a month of back and forth later discovered I have herniated discs. My trajectory very much went downhill from there. PT made me miserable, the steroid epidural didn't work. I was too young for surgery. I had to get rid of my motorcycle since riding it caused me to be bedridden in pain. I had to stop any recreational sports. Going shopping is rolling the dice over whether I'll be in pain the next week.

Lift with your legs, not your back.
