Or don't give your user docker and use sudo to use the docker CLI to get the same effect. Hell, you could even alias docker as sudo docker to get the same feel.

Reread the comic, specifically the first half of that panel.

Hey insurance, I'm injured and need some of that money I give you in case I get injured.

I agree, rhetoric like OP's framing a non-FOSS distro as 'just another closed source/black boxed OS' reads like OP is suggesting it isn't even worth migrating from Windows to say, Bazzite. Which is dangerous.

I'll take a door I can peer into but has a few shadows over a completely closed door anyday.

The gameplay looks fine. It looks like a Doom game. But I won't buy a game with DRM, so I won't be buying it until that gets removed (at earliest).

A not so funny story on a similar vein: roughly a week after my parent's friends of a couple decades agreed to be named as our guardians, the husband announced, on April 1st, he was getting a divorce.

It wasn't a terrible joke, he just chose the most inappropriate time to announce it.

He did get the raw end of that divorce in court though, the judge really didn't like him after he brought his mistress to court.

I'm unsure if the original inventor is still alive for you to ask that question, but let us know the answer if you do get it.

I wouldn't say I've made back my investment on 3D printing in the past half a decade I've done it. But in terms of "prints for friends" like this one above I may be close. Plus there's just something nice about going "I need a measuring cup for dog food" and printing one to the exact serving size.

This is the first time I actually did a double take at an onion article lol. It got me good too.

I recall this and the allegations / issues with the vendors they reviewed as being my "final straw" to stop viewing their content. This itself had a prominent place in my memory, but I don't recall much about the other scandal / issues at the time. Anyone recall that stuff and if they were similarly addressed? All I remember was I stopped caring after that pitiful we're sorry video from the new CEO.

Just download it from a third party and compare the checksum with the official information. Granted, the official checksums on their website are behind a few steps, but you already tried on public Wi-Fi - once you generate the link a "Verify your Download" section should appear.

Whether or not it's trivial to detect depends on the method used to block it. It already is an arms race, and said race will continue.
