I wonder if anybody has told Micron about what happens when customers sign a contract but then declare bankruptcy shortly after.

I wonder, is hatred of advertising a common thing for folks with ADHD? They take away something you are giving your attention to because it interests you, and shove some other crap in your face just to serve their own interests.

I remember being enraged at the scheduled commercial breaks in the '80s and '90s. The only benefit they had was that I always knew which segment of the show I was in and therefore roughly what time it was.

But now? It is so much damn worse and the normies just seem more OK with it than ever. I just remind myself they are living in a society that conditions them to accept it and gives them a thousand more serious things to worry about.

Edit: some words not have right letters

That last paragraph about ~"we voted maga ... we want the illegals gone ... never thought the leopards would victimize myyyyy immigrant" sounds so on-the-nose and oblivious that it makes it sound like a badly written fake.

But as a white USian from a conservative family, and especially during this wonderful holiday time of year, I know in my heart that I am not-too-distantly related to people who are every bit that ignorant about the world.

Aren't the anti-vaxxers in charge?

Y'all I think these anti-science terrorists might not be as smart as they look. And that's saying something.

Headlines like this, man. On one hand, good, I always like to see people thinking clearly and basing their thoughts on, you know, observations of the world.

On the other hand, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? It took until April 2025 for them to fear that he’s not acting rationally but rather on ideology? And these are people who see themselves as fit to manage other people’s money!

Searching article for the word terrorism… Nope, even just “terr” only points me to “interrupted.”

Funny how they missed that. “Terrorism” around teslas is such popular news these days!

Gendered bathrooms should not need to exist because bathrooms should have some dammed privacy.

In the US, there’s a door for boys and one for girls. Behind each is a giant room with some sinks and some toilets that may as well be using cardboard and tinfoil for privacy.

Go somewhere more pleasant like Sweden? You have a short hallway with 3 or 4 doors on each side, and behind each is a small restroom including a sink and a mirror.

Every real and maga-hallucinated bathroom problem largely solved.

Ooh, maybe this means cheaper used Teslas.

…but then you’d have to drive a Tesla. Shit.

Well of course they don’t say that. They have negative sounding terms like the old “bleeding heart liberal,” because as every good conservative knows it is weakness and foolishness to give a shit about other people.

I guess today they would just go for woke. It’s short and meaningless, but it started out being used by minorities so again every good conservative knows it’s a bad thing and a killer insult.

As an American, this line short circuited my brain:

Police there still carry guns on the regular

I live in a quiet but growing suburban town that’s closer to rural areas than the nearest city. When I walk my kid to elementary school (how European of us, lol) the police officer working as a crossing guard for the kids still has their gun, taser, bulletproof vest, and all their other gear on.

And it’s not a school-specific thing. You just never see cops without their weapons here. Armed and armored is just part of the uniform, essentially.

This seems like the perfect place to use “oh my sweet summer child”

This song does such a good job with communicating the conservaive trinity:

  • persecution complex
  • mad about things they themselves voted for
  • mad that the other is getting something, which is obviously undeserved
