I've been using the Zen fork of Firefox and have been enjoying it greatly. It's still pretty early, and a lot of the Firefox issues are still there, but regardless it's felt better than any other browser I've used lately.

And since it's Firefox, it's unaffected by he Mv3 bullshit

Everything I did on the school pcs would've been just as easy and likely easier to do with Linux. Our 7 PCs were slow as hell and that was when those PCs were new.

ChromeOS flex could also be a way to go for education. You can manage them through Google admin if you have Google workspace for the district.

Since net neutrality was repealed Comcast hasn't let me torrent anything faster than a few hundred kbps, even on Linux ISOs. I had to get a VPN just for that.

Disable 2g by default ??? Profit?

I'm not sure what's so hard about this, I get that 2g goes further for emergencies but it's basically useless for anything else, have it be enabled if needed (and communicate that with users when first disabling it)

Google Apple and Samsung are all working on / have satellite SOS, which should replace the long term need here
