Hard dissent. First, Ban content not users. But even if you are banning users, just a quick detour through OPs history would have been enough to see it as a legit account, with a human behind it.. Plus, the picture surely has proving metadata, and detailed pixels.

They don't even need to win elections, everyone was already discussing immigration because of propaganda & news (Messerattacke). They have set the agenda, this now is just more evidence of their success.

Just, perhaps, share the idea with your teacher beforehand. Plan ahead, another comment mentioned dual-license, that could be an interesting take. Your analogy doesn't separate the facts that paying for content to the platform is not the same as paying for it directly to the creator. You, and many people, assume that a high % of what they pay really goes to the creator. That's rarely the case

Also, it's morally wrong that a platform charges you for content they didn't create. Yet, know one seems to question that. I'm a bit pissed at people calling piracy morally questionable without looking into the concrete 'harm'... Hence my post last week, copying is not theft.

Canonical has been taking bad decisions for quite some time now, and this developer was trying to reach Ubuntu users even while probably knowing these. Which makes sense, of course. The point being that this dev's disappointment seems quite specific in these notes (against Snap), and imho he might work again towards shipping their app through Snap if he was allowed to. My comment compares Canonical to Apple, to give some context of where Canonical is at so many other idiosyncrasies (for example, I also heard other bad stuff about their H.R., in particular a way too lengthy hiring process.)
