I have a Ficus Audrey that I quite enjoy. I have also cloned several from a Ficus Lyrata and they are taking over.
Reading Wikipedia, some of the side effects don't sound miserable: "contact with Dieffenbachia (typically from chewing) can cause a host of unpleasant symptoms, including โฆ, excessive drooling, and localized swelling" Although most of them are less benign. Anyway, nice house plant, nicer body.
And too dangerous to put in the mouth. ๐
