The funny thing is that by Donald Trump being the lead Republican candidate, you have sufficient evidence of fraudulent elections. Because actual people (intelligence notwithstanding) voted for a man made of lies.

Our eyes also have the ability to desensitize to higher levels of light input, so the sun at high noon will be really bright but it’s the same as if you were in the complete dark for an hour and walked out into a brightly lit room. The eye gets used to the bright light. The same thing happens walking inside a low-light house from a bright day, it will take a minute to adjust but once you do your eyes have a completely different perception of light intensity.

With the solar eclipse, even 1% of the sun showing still lights an area greater than indoor lighting or perhaps even outdoor lighting, so we perceive it as still somewhat bright. This is sunset-level sunlight but the source is above instead of behind the horizon.

Yeah, but it could be they live in one of the states driving American inflation at a ridiculous rate and $6500 a month is barely enough to cover rent and bills.

Bucks will actively try to attack vehicles. They are not only dumb, but especially aggressive during mating season

They apologized and replaced their CEO but then got rid of a quarter of the company, people that probably had nothing to do with their terrible management last year.

Chicago needs to understand that they are defending against the very things that could help them thrive as a city. It really doesn’t take much to start looking like Detroit.

Of course when you have blatant liars representing your case in court and you’re selling off the rights to public parking to a bank and foreign financiers, I guess you have a lot more to be concerned about than potholes.

I’m sorry if this comes off harsh, I think your response requires this question. Is your wife a computer or a person? She has her own set of feelings, thoughts, and needs that she could find difficult to communicate with you for some reason. You need to be certain you’re properly respecting the person you are in a committed relationship, that includes making sure she can properly communicate what she needs with you without feeling like an inconvenience or a chore.

I say all this because I’ve been there, I’ve treated people in my life like they were inconveniencing me and ultimately it ruined relationships. It’s not fun on the other end of that.

Why run RockyLinux HV when everything is in a Debian VM anyway?

I just have Ubuntu server running docker on my old workstation which has plenty of RAM to spin up a production-sized workload just to play around.

I’ve setup these images up as Docker containers:

  • Portainer
  • GitLab
  • Nginx
  • Neftcloud
  • Grafana
  • MariaDB
  • RabbitMQ
  • Redis

Just played around mostly, I haven’t scaled out any full infrastructure schemes yet, but that’s the plan for the workstation. Container and terraform testbed.

Camp Washington Chili is probably the best place I’ve been to. Puts Skyline and Gold Star in their place.
