At what cost though? Like a single parachute without an automatic release system costs hundreds, if not thousands. You multiply that by 150 and it’s infeasible. Now include an automatic deployment system, and we’re talking tens of thousands per unit. Not including maintenance and repairs, long-term storage costs, the added weight on the plane. All these costs would be added to passenger tickets at a markup, so that $450 flight across the country is now a $700 flight. The risk also still remains because of depressurization issues, even if you make it to the surface your blood might boil in your body and still cause you to pass.

Logistically, plane accidents that result in loss of life are so rare that it would make more sense to equip every car in production with ejector seats then it would to equip every plane seat with automated parachutes.

How many people are commonly backing into spaces? I think the people I’ve seen or heard, online or otherwise, have just been the same people that don’t want to bother backing into spaces. I don’t think their logic is very sound, it’s just about thinking they’re wasting time probably.

If I woke up with an elf in my bed, I’m pretty sure I would react the same way.

Dangers in my heart is so good! Insomniacs After School season 1 is pretty slice of life-y, the start of the romance happens towards the end. Season 2 is definitely going to be more about the relationship between them

This is awesome, someone who may actually care about the environment is in charge of caring for the environment.

I’m not big on Sakayanagi but that man kicking her cane out made me want to personally punch him in the face. I guess that was his goal to get Ayanokoji to do just that

Nothing is more anxiety inducing than seeing Google results slightly angled, I’m guessing the chocobo overlay may have interfered with some of the result centering? I’ve never seen this before.

After some messing around it does look like this is due to the shaking effect not getting cleaned up after the button is pressed a few times. You can also overload your client by pressing it a bunch of times at once, it just grinds the animation to a slog.

Makoto got Aqua and Eris with the bananas twice in one episode. Their banana addiction is seriously affecting their future prospects.
