Maybe PeerTube will see better days when Google can't pay for YouTube anymore.
I don't see how I implied a hope for PeerTube to replace YouTube.
I simply said that PeerTube might see better days when Google can't pay for YouTube anymore, as in PeerTube might get some popularity after that.
It challenges even the multi billionaire tech companies to host something like YouTube at similar scale. I don't think anyone that knows how big YouTube actually is would think that.
we'll figure out how to transfer it to you.
There is a native way to transfer communities in Lemmy, but I'm not sure if it works correctly as the last time I tried, it didn't work (It actually locked me out of my community). But that could be because of instance versions being noticeably different.
Anyways, you first need to be the "owner" (the first mod) in the community and get the one you want to transfer ownership to in the mod team. And then you simply right click on a post or comment that person made and click on "Transfer ownership".
could be replaced
I don't recall mentioning that PeerTube could replace YouTube in my comment.
PeerTube is an excellent idea, but it never took off. Maybe PeerTube will see better days when Google can't pay for YouTube anymore.
Yeah. Paru can find and install new apps.
secondly, I have trouble talking to people who start discussions with personal attacks, let alone teaching them a thing or two
Then stop talking. Are you looking for trouble, clown?
edit: too bad, he chickened out of discussion.
Seems like they are more invested in their own garbage bitcoin wallet than improving their shitty software for Linux.
Privacy my ass. They are trying to get the cryptobros to spend money on their wallet.
the answer is.. it's subjective, you just make up your own mind, and justify it with : it's a necessity, may Allah forgive me 🥺👉👈
The answer is when you are in a death situation.
No wonder, though. It seems like you don't even intend to learn facts about the religion you'll believe in.
It means nothing. DNT is being ignored by most websites anyway and is also a fingerprinting metric.
I use Posteo. Their privacy policy seems to be more sane than the others, with riseup and disroot coming in first and second, but I'd rather not use email providers that present themselves as a "safe" place for activists and journalists.
