Turns out to be something specific to a certain instance and how they configured things so were updating today or close to today now
Update: something major possibly broke. Were waiting a bit longer and possibly until 0.19.4 if its bad enough
Dont have access to those stats in the database so adding on voting is the best I can do
Theres a post read table but its only people who have explicitly marked something as read and is way less than the post likes
Sure I can add in some language handling
no way other than mentioning it. Used to use keywords to trigger it but that got removed to comply with bot guidelines (and since it only really detected the messages correctly half the time due to how lemmy provides the comments to it). If you type in part of it it should give you an option to autofill if youre using lemmy-ui
Oh weird, it shouldnt be functioning in this community since it hasnt been added to the allowlist
For anyone else who wants to test it out please use the other version of the post and going to fix this bug, deleting the messages in here it makes
Update: Bug has been fixed
Due to the votes here I was thinking of revising it a bit to do a similar format to how c/programming is handled since theres a bunch of votes for both options.
So c/gamedev exists as a collector community for all gamedev content and theres the subcommunities for the different kinds of content.
This still gives a central location but gives granularity for those that want that
- c/gamedev (All content)
- c/gamedev_news (News)
- c/gamedev_discussions (Non-News)
I believe the limit is 1MB on all instances by default so should be what our current limit is as well
Not currently, feel free to request one in the request community !community_request@programming.dev
Bot seems to be struggling after the upgrade to v18. Hopefully comes back up soon
Just so you guys know im coding a second bot for the instance. This one is going to auto post new things from the godot blog (and then pin it for a week if its a new release)
Aiming to get it done tonight so that it posts the next godot update
