Yet anyone I speak to is thrilled to not have winter weather to deal with. I have to bite my tongue to stop ranting about how it's not good.

(Sample of people: doctors, nurses, cashiers, neighbours)

Yeah, I'd like to hear exactly what free speech was suppressed. Because the vast majority of these rants have a very interesting post/comment history.

Why are the juicy drama threads always deleted by the time I see references to them?

True that.

A 6 year old. I just can't wrap my head around it. The landlord played with the kid. Built him a fucking treehouse.

Oh and he pleaded not guilty. Not. Guilty. He actually looked his lawyer in the eye and said that.

I've been wondering about that. I think they get around it by using the "enter your current password" prompt, so they potentially have it in cleartext for the duration of the session.

And our governments are beholden to the rich because they can offer the best bribes.

Until the rich feels threatened by the climate catastrophe, nothing will happen or change.

Although we are seeing the first economic fallout from climate change, so there's a slim chance. The rich are going to see their precious economic growth slow and eventually stall. I don't know how they'll react to that.

Maybe they'll all flee to New Zealand. Or some other remote location. I doubt SpaceX is going to offer any way out for anyone but the musky chodelet.

I guess the rich's reaction depends on whether they think their hideaway will afford them the same privilege as they currently have. Maybe they'll try to bootstrap an Elysium like refuge on the moon if it's predicted that even New Zealand won't be safe from climate induced collapse.

So very much yes. I'm not on any meds like strattera or stimulants like Adderall, and I definitely take the entire morning to get going.

Unless there's an emergency at work that requires adrenaline and attention, I don't produce much of anything until the afternoon.

You're not alone!

I bet $20 that trump won't get convicted of anything. But I also bet $20 that he flees to russia if he does.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing well.

Said by a friend who, in the late 90s, copied a dozen albums to minidisk for me. He named all the albums and track names using a remote to select each letter one by one. It must have taken him many hours to do it. But he wanted to do a good job. Up up up up A right, up up up up up f, etc etc. Utterly tedious but he wanted to do a good job.
