Exactly what I do. I use Angels and Bobs mods for a huge amount of stuff to do, loads of trains (almost 1,000 in my current playthrough!), and loads of stuff to build.

I really want an updated camera. I have an original Canon digital rebel with a bunch of lenses, so I can just get a new body and use my existing stuff. Thing is, I'd love to go full frame, but that's expensive. Plus to be honest phone camera is always on me and so damned convenient.
