It was cheap but effective! Also thanks, always nice to find another DF fan.
Ha, yeah it is indeed officially licensed. Imo one of the cooler things they done with the license.
Pretty good! Uses Kailh Jellyfish X switches, which are new to me. The other one of these I have used Kailh box whites. In comparison these feels a little smoother maybe but still clicky.
Yeah, I could see it
That Mountain Dew brand radiation 😆
Unfortunately options are becoming increasingly limited. My guess is that they're making more money cramming in ads for people that tolerate it than they are losing money from people who refuse it.
Traded that to a friend a few years ago, but it was a pretty fun system! Had it modded and recapped.
I also love mobile setups like this. It's nice to be able to be modular and movable for hobbies. Being chained to one area of the house can be a real pain if you don't live alone.
The Wii is a great sort of in-between for emulation. Even outputs proper 240p!
Yeah it's a little bittersweet. But, honestly, I play more games now than ever before and the features that emulation provides means that more games are accessible to me. The kid version of me would've been stoked to see the cart, but would have be more stoked to see save states, fast forward, rewind, shaders, and cheats. Not to mention fan translations and romhacks!
Yup, works great.
