Worthless? You clearly don't have children.
They can open doors and leave lights on, but somehow not turn off / close.
I've been using it for years now. Simple, elegant and stable.
It has my vote.
Not that this will solve any problems, but I suggest using anonymous outer (@university.edu), if the packet is sniffed they don't get your username (half the puzzle).
