I think if they were planning this at all, we'd see linux support for maui. currently their linux use has been very focused on only for devs and servers

repr is generally assumed to be side effect free and cheap to run, so things like debuggers tend to show repr of things in scope, including possibly exit

also then it behaves differently between repl and script, since repr never gets run. to do it properly it has to be a new repl keyword I imagine, but I still don't know if I'm sold on the idea

my team was driving me insane with leaving console.log("here") all over the place in every pr, so now we have a "no console.log" eslint rule in ci.

I guess my answer is it depends on your team. good logs are different, but imo if they're just debugging statements they shouldn't even make it into the repo let alone prod.

if it's just you, do whatever you want lol, performance is almost certainly not significant and most users should end up ignoring them anyway

plenty of package managers have.

flatpak doesn't require any admin to install a new app

nixos doesn't run any code at all on your machine for just adding a package assuming it's already been cached. if it hasn't been cached it's run in a sandbox. the cases other package managers use post install configuration scripts for are a different mechanism which possibly has root access depending on what it is.

for the minimal use case this exists as well. https://github.com/crigler/dtach

on one hand I agree. on the other, google has historically been afraid of the verb to google becoming generic, so of course I'd like to see that happen.

I think the middle ground is say google it, but make it clear you mean google it on an alternative search engine

Or 73% of a PS5 pro if you're in Canada!

idk if it would be manual, isn't the point of ab root to rollback if it doesn't properly boot afterwards?

lol that doesn't work either tho. it yields the string once and then is done. you still need a loop inside

I loved peragus the first time through, but the more I replay it the more it's just having to run around to all the terminals in the right order while being slowed down with the easy but tedious fights, esp with not a str or dex build and harder difficulty.

And that conversation with the hk is so annoying, like I know you'll tell me the password, but it always takes me so much time to find the dialog path to get him to say it in the voice for some reason.

I really like the character swap sections though, especially the onderon ones. It adds more difficulty and makes party builds matter. Otherwise I feel like I just blow through everything with mc even solo
