That's a very clever idea! They look super cozy. Thanks for sharing the link.

I have a set of the smaller gauge chiaogoo twist interchangables and I love them! The metal is smooth, the shape is good for me (pretty sharp and pointy), and the red cables do not kink. I pretty much only use those and hiyahiya metal double points these days.

I have friends who swear by the knitters pride/knit pro karbons, but they feel a little sticky to me. I get the same feeling from wood and bamboo needles. I knit continental. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Do you have a chance to try out the needles before you buy, or just buy a single circular as a test? I think it depends on your knitting style and the fibers you like to use.

It is definitely a good one to admire on the shelf. You have a lot of socks queued up!

Welcome back! That yarn is a stunner. It's a good repayment. :)

Aw, that's a cute idea to stitch the doodle! To answer your question about apps, I've used the stitch fiddle website to make simple patterns with a few colors and backstitching. Floss cross is another site you could check out. I think the pixel art app you used might be similar to them since it has a similar grid.

Lucky friend!! These look like a great pair of socks. I like the yarn striping.

The chiagoo interchangables are very pricey! I saved up for their twist lace tip interchangables a few years ago (just the small gauge ones). I really like them. I haven't had any issues with them coming loose and the cables are really nice, no weird curls or kinks.

Aw, I love their names! I think I double counted one of the black ones. I can see five now.

This is all great advice! I will add a second vote for taking care of your hands (and ergonomics in general). I don't have wrist issues, but I have an old shoulder injury that flairs up if I don't take breaks, mind my posture, and stretch.

What are you planning to make?

Those are great! Did you frame them yourself, or have the framer do it?
