John Carpenter's The Thing was critically and commercially panned on release. It lost the special effects Oscar to ET. It got such a bad response John Carpenter considered retiring.

Absolutely shocking in hindsight.

Isn't this impossible without ensuring a completely "not racist" sample ( which itself would be impossible)? Like the article pointed to a health app that did not explicitly identify race, but still acted in a racist manner due to implicit bias in whatever the AI was trained on.

I mean I guess the point is to ban AI in hiring which isn't a bad idea.

I think most "reddit style" hate for him (ie denigrating his "clout chasing") is worthless, but there is valid criticism to be had about his content. Not because he himself is evil or anything, but he is definitely a force of aggressive "centrism" that maintains an arguably unethical status quo. He feeds the hungry without asking why they are hungry, and ultra online types see this as a negative influence on society due to his popularity

Same experience as others, it was the cheapest option for me at the time for data after several other carriers folded. I live in an urban area and have had no issues. Currently dreading what bullshit T-Mobile will inevitably pull
