Also wenn ich eine Arch Live USB Variante in irgendeinen Dell, irgendeinen Lenovo, Acer oder whatever stecke funktioniert das Keyboard. Auch die die wie das Polaris irgendeine Apple Tastatur sein wollen.

Edit: Aber ja, grundsätzlich hast du recht. Die einzige Lösung dafür sind Standards - selbst wenn die nirgendwo stehen. Man kann nach draußen z.B. behaupten man ist ein Standard Apple Keyboard (hab gerade zu wenig Fantasie für was sinnvolleres - das Apple Keyboard interface ist aber auch auf PC recht weit verbreitet) und das Treiberinterface davon implementieren. Dann muss man nicht seine selbst gebastelten Treiber überall verteilen.

When Windows 3.1 came out I had a hard time understanding any of it and never left my cozy DOS CLI with its Norton Commander.

Granted I was still a child, but one might think that mouse-first and colorfulness would have driven my curiosity. Instead I switched when Windows 95 arrived.

Well, you still need to backup and restore your persistent drive, but that's trivial too.
