Where is this in the settings? Is it controller pointer sensitivity? Or hold to move sensitivity? Which option increases the delay?

Any plans to include v3.0.0 in Accrescent for GrapheneOS users? See https://accrescent.app/

Very interesting, thank you, Maybe @00_Evan@lemmy.world will add the shift+ direction based fast movement in 3.0.0?

I do not see both key presses as corresponding to moving diagonally in the controls. Could the game just be interpreting this as going two directions very quickly on the keyboard, causing the movement to take double the in-game time? Maybe @00_Evan@lemmy.world can answer?

I prefer to play on desktop instead of mobile. On desktop, I usually get along fine just clicking to move. But sometimes I feel like using the arrow keys instead.

The arrow keys are fine for going up, down, left, and right. But moving diagonally is very important in this game. What is a comfortable way to configure my controls so that I can comfortably move diagonally? I would prefer a way that does not require the keyboard to have a numpad.

Also, is there any way to hook up a joystick / videogame controller to the desktop and use that for movement instead?

Thank you for your suggestions.

So I manage to get the Talisman of Foresight as a drop from something. I have the Shard of Oblivion in my inventory (no upgrades to it). The description says that "The shard will also prevent you from automatically identifying equipment, but can be used to manually identify items that are ready for it." The Talisman of Foresight that I got has a purple background, meaning that it is unidentified and could be cursed.

I figure that if I equip the Talisman of Foresight, the Shard of Oblivion would prevent it from being identified. If so, I could wear it in its unidentified state in order to get the Shard of Oblivion bonus loot effect. So I equip the Talisman of Foresight. It is not cursed, but it immediately becomes identified. The Shard of Oblivion did not prevent the identification.

Is this intended behavior, or is it unintended?

Thank you for clarifying.

So today I opened up Shattered Pixel Dungeon and discovered that my pastry had transformed into a pumpkin pie for Halloween. I am not really a fan of real world time influencing games in general, since it hurts immersion for me. I also do not like my items in my inventory transforming on their own accord, and I do not really like Halloween either. Is there a way that I can either disable the holiday events? Alternatively, is there a way I can spoof the date/time so that the real world never affects my gameplay?

Thank you.

Is there any other way to deal with this room besides killing the fish?

I am playing on a file where they appear on floor 3. I am not strong enough and do not have enough projectile / wands to kill them. Is there any other way to bypass them (besides using ethereal chains or teleporting them away, both options which are not available to me at the moment) without fighting them?

Thank you for your help.

There is a room with a sentry and a chest. I think I am supposed to clear the room by using a potion of haste to outrun the sentry.

The sentry seems immune to absolutely everything. But I want to kill the sentry. How do I kill the sentry?

Thank you for your help.

There are two rooms and only one key. One key leads to 3-4 things for the player. The other leads to a single item contained in a chest?

The room with 3-4 things always seems like a pretty good deal, as opposed to choosing a chest. After all, how do I know that what is in the chest is worth as much or more than those 3-4 things?

Under what circumstances is it better to choose the mystery chest over the 3-4 rewards? Why would anyone choose the chest instead?

so I completed a run with duelist - champion by putting 15 scrolls of upgrade into plate armor. the evil eyes and stuff can still hurt me, but the strategy seems OP. I am surprised that there is not an upgrade cap of, say, +10 on armor in order to nerf the strategy.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon v2.4.2- android, github version

I am new to Shattered Pixel Dungeon, and I am confused about the Huntress playstyle. The Huntress is able to go through grass without trampling it. Is there some sort of tangible benefit to being able to do this? Is there a stealth advantage as long as the Huntress is in the grass? I do not see some sort of active condition in the character menu when the Huntress is in grass. Otherwise, what is the tangible benefit to the Huntress not being able to cut grass?

Also, what exactly is the game plan for Huntress / using upgrade scrolls as Huntress?

For Warrior, I was struggling a lot since I was upgrading my original weapon instead of upgrading higher tier weapons. I did not know that upgrades go higher on the higher tier weapons. I saw on the internet that I should save my scrolls of upgrade for tier 5 weapons and armor, so I followed that strategy and managed to get a win.

For mage, I saw on the internet that you can go battlemage and put the scrolls of upgrade into the staff that you get by default at the beginning of the game. This makes the beginning of Mage a lot easier, since I do not have to hoard my scrolls until the end of the game. Otherwise, Mage feels harder at the beginning of the game than Warrior does. I managed to get a win with Mage by dumping all the scrolls of upgrade into staff and staff bashing the whole game. I was also lucky enough to imbue wand of fireblast into the staff.

For Rogue, I saved the upgrade scrolls until I could get a tier 5 melee weapon, then put most of the upgrades into the weapon. Rogue felt like the easiest class to win with so far. The Demon Halls are a lot easier when none of the enemies can see where I am.

For Huntress, however, what is the game plan? The spirit bow does not take upgrade scrolls, so I cannot upgrade it like I could upgrade the mage's staff. The starting weapon is very weak. The early game seems particularly hard, but I want to save my upgrade scrolls for a tier 5 weapon instead of spending them on weak weapons in early game. So what is the game plan here?

Thank you for your help.
