I buy from electronic shop or national online shop.

If you want a Free Software Foundation recommend distro, I would say Trisquel or PureOS (if you don't need wi-fi). Or Linux Mint. Or Debian with Mate or Cinnamon desktop environment.

Of course. Mac OS users will tell that you are so poor/stingy to buy an Apple computer, and Windows users to buy a Windows license. I left Windows, Reddit, X and Whatsapp 3 years ago. Switched to GNU/Linux, Lemmy, Mastodon and Signal/XMPP/SimpleX/DeltaChat. Best tech decisions I made. I hope more people will join Free/Federated technology. :-)

Minetest/Luanti is twice free (as speech and beer). Minecraft is neither. So it's better.

I primarily use Ecosia because it plants trees. I also use Mojeek, it's indipendent.

Although I had Trisquel, which is based on Ubuntu, I am glad that people using other distros like Fedora can now have Signal. By the way, for deGoogled phones, you can use Molly-FOSS, too. It's a fork of Signal and interoperable with it.

So you left Big Tech entirely. You followed an interesting journey on it. I guess it was hard, especially in the beginning. Of course, people on Lemmy/Mastodon know more about technology than normies from Reddit or X. I also want to run GrapheneOS, I heard in 2027 it will be released on Motorola. I have Trisquel. Any step away from Big Tech and towards FOSS alternatives is excellent, so congratulations on all of them!

People don't care about their own health or privacy, let alone others. Look how many people don't practice any sport, smoke, drink alcohol or eat unhealthy foods. Or regarding privacy, how many people pay by card, although they know all their transactions are saved and seen by banks and potentially goverment. You made a very strong decision by putting your privacy first, over relationships. Maybe if more people would be like you, privacy-respecting messengers would grow up more.

Yes, because people refuse to use FOSS messaging apps. So we have to use the lowest common denominator SMS/RCS. I also have Signal, SimpleX, XMPP, Delta Chat and Threema.

There must be foss alternatives to every proprietary software. Big thanks to GNU and Linus Torvalds that joined their forces and created GNU/Linux!
