I see Fedora recommended quite a bit, but setting it up on my younger family member’s laptop was bot exactly simple, and setting up his game library proved near impossible.
PopOS just worked. I try not to be too pushy about Linux, but as someone who was pushed into (and now loves) using Linux, I’d suggest giving it one more shot. (I still dual-boot: keep a small Windows partition for the occasional need).
Yeah. Most of the time I use comments in my algorithms, as they often use some weird optimized black magic which are difficult to understand without comments.
Maybe I’m the minority, but I’ve never really broken my Linux. Sure, it’s NixOS, so it’s a little more stable than many other distros, but still, I have a much better time with it than I do with Windows
Yeah, I am. However GitHub, being the biggest Git hosting provider and all that, makes you use merge commits. FF-merges must be done manually from the command line. While this definitely isn’t a problem for me, many people out there just don’t care and merge without a second thought (which, as I said in my comment, results in having to create a new branch and cherry picking the commits onto there).
I mean, I don’t think that’s the way to go about it. Trains don’t take me to my family across the planet in 11 hours. I’d prefer to feel secure when flying there.
