I mean, in extreme lag scenarios it’s more useful, as hitting three keys and waiting is easier than trying to guess where the mouse cursor is as you try to hit the icon.

In cases where you’re already typing (personally, most of the time) it’s more convenient. As many of us are programmers here, it’s quite annoying to switch between keyboard and mouse all the time, and keyboard shortcuts allow us to be much Fmitt efficient in our work. (I mean, I use Neovim now and I’ve never worked this fast and smoothly).

Of course, I know nothing of how you use your device, but generally keyboard shortcuts are preferred to clunky mouse interactions.

That’s fair. I started with what everyone was using at the time, which just so happened to be Neovim. I’m also too lazy to switch/try anything else.

Plus, I’m not sure if Neovim simply extends Vim functionality. I know it’s a fork, but the codebase has changed so much I’m pretty sure many newer features of Vim need to be manually added to Neovim. Inlay hints in the middle of lines is already implemented in Vim: as for Neovim, it’s not here yet (well, it’s coming in 0.10, but I don’t use nightly so I don’t have it)

Mine does some, then waits, then does some again, until you open it. Terrible because there’s enough silence to ignore it, but the beeps are still often enough to be annoying, so your stuck in a constant indecision between getting up and opening the door, and just staying and working since it’s quiet now.

This exactly. I love this approach to commenting and use it all the time. I also like to write doc-comments wherever possible; it’s saves time and makes working on an unfamiliar part of the codebase much easier.

Of course it’s all personal preference, but I’ve been managing my dot files from the very beginning with nix(home manager). Never tried ansible, but, just like you, don’t really need to, as everything is already set up well in Nix(including all my configs for all my programs).

Thank goodness I’m not the only one with this problem! I’ve gotten into the habit of sliding right from the lines in between posts, but imo this should be taken care of(especially to imitate the quality greatness that was the Apollo app).
