This is mildly infuriating?

I did this with many languages. Spoke Hindi, but convinced people I could speak the other related languages (Telegu, Marathi, etc.) by just saying random things in my little fake accent. Usually ended it with some small “sharp” words (like “tittu”, just sounds “sharp”) to really sell it.

Maybe I’m just lazy, I’ve only invested 10-15 hours total into my config.

Once I got it working, I’ve never bothered to really even touch it. (I probably should, it’s most likely months of out of date…just like my NixOS config…)

Next time I make changes will probably be when I update to 0.10 for inlay hints and set that up along with attempting to fix that error message that randomly pops up every time I start Neovim.

Also probably not the typical Neovim config experience, but I’ve configured it enough to get of my way, now I just want to write code.

I don’t tend to recommend Ubuntu anymore: mainly because of snaps.

I had a weird start with Linux, using it on my Pi and then eventually just installing NixOS as my first distro. A weird first choice, but honestly it makes even advanced tasks trivial(I can switch my WM/DE in one line!)

I think OP(original commenter?) mentioned they tried Nobara, but it wouldn’t even boot.

My consistent recommendation to Linux newcomers is PopOS, it’s a simple, great distros that can be powerful when needed.

(I myself use Nix btw)

IMO for AI to reach a useful point it needs to be able to learn. Now I’m no expert on neural networks, but if it can’t learn anything new once it’s been trained, it’s never really going to reach its true potential. It can imitate a human, but that’s about it. Once AI can really learn, it’ll become an order of magnitude more useful. Don’t get me wrong: all this AI work is a step in the right direction, but we’ll only be able to go so far with pre-trained models.

Probably more software dev.
