Aegis is great. It just works and it's reliable. No reason to switch in my opinion. Even though, unlike most other "authenticators", the app provides easy ways to export your secrets to another app if you wanted.
That is my main beef with this particular hype train. People will be negatively effected by it, who had no choice in it. With the NFT hype a few years ago nobody was impacted unless they chose to dive into that area.

I suspect it's a bit of both. With agents the review size can be pretty small and easier to digest which leads to more people reviewing, but I suspect it is still more surface level.
