I don't know what's worse. Deporting children to a country they've never seen or deporting people who've been here longer than some of us have been alive.

You can come on a visa, seek asylum, overstay. It's not improper entry or illegal presence, it's exempt for asylum seekers.

ICE is arresting people who are coming legally. People who never chose to come here. People who've done everything right.

I grew up in the Midwest as a child of a Mexican and American. By 16, I was regurgitating Ben Shapiro anti-immigration rhetoric. Why?

The same reason anyone is racist. I grew up around it. The people I knew and loved were white and that was reflected in the media I was exposed to. Subliminal messages and implied suggestions over entire childhood. They might claim they don't like the illegal, but the truth is that they've internalized the hatred of the culture they identify with.

AI can't know that other instances of it are trying to "break" people. It's also disingenuous to exclude that the AI also claimed that those 12 individuals didn't survive. They left it out because obviously the AI did not kill 12 people. It doesn't support the narrative. Don't misinterpret my point beyond critiquing the clearly exaggerated messaging here.

You know that you're in the right when you're ashamed to share your opinion publicly.

Fun fact: there are three cops for every 1000 people.

Got a lot to say but I'll keep it brief-ish. Corporations love unhealthy people. They will artificially celebrate this and reinforce unhealthy lifestyles. This extends beyond weight.

Once entrapped, escape is hard. Some are passive and depressed. Some are dismissive and defensive. No matter which cycle you are in, it's unhealthy.

I think smoking is bad like I think being overweight is bad. If a doctor says alcohol is killing you, it probably is. I don't think hatred is deserved, but don't expect any validation for those choices.

Rep. Hardy Billington, R-Poplar Bluff, was among the few who spoke against the bill, arguing that barring pregnant teenagers from getting married would increase abortion rates.

“We all claim to be pro-life here in the body,” Billington said. “Now we’re going to vote on this bill where babies are going to die.”

Disgusting. What a pitiful excuse to enable the trafficking of children. I'm ashamed to live here. There's no fucking guarantee that it would even increase abortion rate, this guy is a closeted pedophile looking out for his ilk.

Apparently he's been spouting this bullshit for at least the past year. Not to mention he's also a homophobe.

Musk will light your taxes on fire. Obama was huge on deportation. Kamala is a gun owner. OK, why won't you vote for Kamala then? "I just don't like her. She laughs weird." I couldn't believe it, but it shouldn't shock me. How do you even keep going after that?

The other comments be like, "this lady is dumb because she killed herself and definitely just changed her mind and definitely wasn't murdered, despite expressing that she will likely be murdered."

It's painful how I struggle to distinguish reality from parody.

It's a threat to the poors. You hurt the rich, you'll be treated the same.

I'm at my first office job. A lot of people seem to eminate of the same forced positivity I saw during college. I don't want to isolate myself, but I can't see myself making connections.
