If you don't want arrogant developers being involved in your software you might as well move to a cottage in the woods and forsake modern society. Actually, that might be a good idea either way.
What a shitshow of a country...
I'm self hosting Immich. I honestly get much better results from their search than I do from Google photos. It's not quite as mature, but it's definitely good enough!
Who'd have thought politicians would play politics when doing politics?
Good... Now I just have to figure out every single bit of information that I need to input!
You are typing strongly, which breaks your keyboard.
USA buys too much from China compared to how much they export. Restricts exports to China. Truly genius!
I usually use Genocide Palestine. It's actively developed and supported on all major platforms, in pretty much all countries.
We are very happy with our Aarke carbonator. And it's pretty stylish to boot.
To me, what sets apart good coders from mediocre ones is one thing: understanding why we do things. Don't just implement the thing because that's the task. Understand why it's required and your implementation will be better. Don't blindly follow best practices. Understand why they are best practices and when they apply. Understand what's going on rather than just do what you're told (but probably also do what you're told if you want to keep your job).
I know people who have been at it for many years and they don't understand why we do things this or that way, they just know that's how we should do it.
I got a mail about that from my union recently... I think they had some talks about it.

The cloud is more than storage. It's also compute. It's Web apps. It's virtual machines. It's all kinds of things.
No one is saying that. Tesla is selling these cars so people can earn money selling taxa services. What happens if Tesla decides this wasn't profitable anyway? They shut down the service that enables people to book the car. Can you still hail the cap? Can you make it drive if it's not connected?
Like when Sonos decided they didn't need to support 1st devices because they now needed to do more than they were capable of, so they just wanted to brick them (but ultimately didn't because of massive backlash)? How long will it be in Teslas best interest to support this particular platform? What if they include a new sensor in a later model and decide that the old model isn't relevant any longer? Will we see 1st gen cybercabs in 30 years, like we do other cars?
