I think more regional / city instances would be great. Seems like a natural way to consolidate activity around local content, meetups, activism, etc etc while also staying totally connected to everything else
That's true, might not have gotten into Metroid later without playing this one. Good point!

The Pinetime's a pretty solid FOSS watch, actually. Assuming you're ok with pretty basic use cases (for now)- it's easily worth the $30ish to get one, anyway.
The vast majority of federal cases end with a plea deal. Any idea if that could include forfeiting any right to run for public office? Would be great for peace of mind if so

No question, removing swappable batteries was pretty brazenly consumer-hostile.
One of the main reasons I'm 100% on board with stuff like the Pinephone, at least in theory (just wish Linux phones were actually ready to be used as phones.. maybe in another couple of years).

Nice! My first distro was Kubuntu back in 2016. Pop OS is pretty solid and a good distro to try out, too- just stay curious and you'll probably find yourself hopping around from thing to thing for a while. Enjoy
