Apoligies.

My patience is running thin from watching classmates and few close friends being absolute morron. Defending gov and saying things like its not the issue of leaders but just people who did it. Like actually one who did it.

Now, how is gov involved? NTA is the org responsible for conducting examination for number of studies including NEET main examination issue of the protest. NTA is formed by gov and operates under it. It has consitently failed to properly conduct the exams for years for number of different studies. You might say it could be issue with few officials being corrupt for 2-3 leaks but leaks are happening at very large scale almost every single year. And no one is taking responsibilty.

Prior to current BJP gov it was common for ministers to resign over single failures in system.

This protest was although mainly for examination leak but underlying theme is accountability from system and against corruption.

I hope you get some idea. And to be honest I'd think a protest of common people at this scale doesnt require intricate knowledge to sympathize.

Are you really asking this question?

[–] hancock@retrolemmy.com 1 points 1 week ago

True, Its matter of lesser evil.

Kobo allows me to easily add books and koreader. So its better than kindle.

Not ideal at all.

[–] hancock@retrolemmy.com 3 points 1 week ago

I installed koreader on my kobo. Its lighting fast now.

[–] hancock@retrolemmy.com 5 points 1 week ago (3 children)

I did not watch the video.

But the message from title(video title is worse) sounds like common defeatist attitude. Ive personal issues with people who just promote defeat and have negative effect.

I've two kindles 12+ 6+ years old and 1 kobo 2+ years. Neither have been connected to internet apart frok initial setup.

It's obvious to not promote consumerism by buying unnecessarily but stll a good reminder.

It is still a message. And we should encourage it.

It is always better to move in right direction even if it's just an inch.

Actually, Its Magnets.

[–] hancock@retrolemmy.com 4 points 2 weeks ago

Heres a super wild speculation.

Elden Ring a Game. Where super powerful beings had shards of elden ring. Made them powerful. Im not sure but its supposed to be made from gold. Whole game has gold theme.

Zweihander + curved wolf guys blade here. Str dex build Now i met sellen and trying to get magic going on

[–] hancock@retrolemmy.com 3 points 1 month ago

[–] hancock@retrolemmy.com 5 points 2 months ago

Got the set just before the fight. Cheers!

I loved ds1 and loved fighting black knights. After obtaining all lord souls. I thought maybe fight some black knights for fun before doing dlc. So Im in kiln of first flame having fun and reached gywn. Thought why not meet gywn surely he'll kill me(My final plan was to maxx claymore and summon Solaire for final fight) then I'll do the dlc. But he was very weak (parry). I knew I could parry but didn't think I'll kill him on first try. But he dead. Now going to Elden Ring will visit again in a year or so.

Just wanted to share with someone.

[–] hancock@retrolemmy.com 1 points 2 months ago

Then you ll need a lot of discipline. Not talking is not enough. You've to avoid enagning with it in all forms. Post likes comments quiz news everything.

And i think there are better worlds/books/stories than this. And it ll be easier to dedicate your heart there.

I'm finally building my PC. This is a budget build for 1080p (split), 1440p games and some 4k. I'll be only using Linux.

I want to quickly run through you and let me know if the parts are compatible and it's a good fit.

My budget is ~~150K~~ ~~170k~~ 180k Rupees. (better perf with 15% more budget 9060xt->9070xt + 7600x->9600x (x version is cheaper) + quality upgrades to other components)

I'm buying all online from computertech (they have mostly the cheapest price)

Please let me know if you seen any red flag with following build or any suggestions.

Suggest me a book (retrolemmy.com)
submitted 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) by hancock@retrolemmy.com to c/books@lemmy.world

I'm bored out of my mind. Suggest me a book and I'll read it cover to cover.

Two conditions

  1. I can aquire a digital copy.
  2. Some ovious filters like no dictionary or phone book kind.
  3. Most people agreening on the book will be selected.
  4. Any book works.

Thanks.

Update: 21st march

Thank you all for your time and input.

Looks like it's a tie between.

  1. Project hail mary
  2. The count of monte cristo

As kind of promised I'll read these two cover by cover.

And bonus rules(5,6) that i kept for later

  1. I'll make a list of every book(other than selected) and will give it fair shot by reading at least 25%.
  2. I'll post here after finishing each book.

I think I am set for a year. I am not a reader although I have 3 e-readers + a m5paper for which ill write a e reader firmware/app. I love the e-reader tech and books. (Still not a reader but id like to be one and this is my second attempt to become one.)

I'll update the list of books here mentioned tomorrow.

Thanks again for putting out your suggetions and favs. Happy Reading.

Hi, This will be my first significant open source contribution. A markdown lsp that works as PKMS. It features an interactive graph like one in obsidian.

Currently in beta stage.

Would love your feedback.

And if you like the project consider starring it. I need at least 100 to be able to add it into mason registry for easy installation.
