Tabloid magazine? ... it's more like scribbled pieces of paper written by random strangers on the sidewalk ... people keep reading the crap and walk away happy that their worst beliefs have just been confirmed by 100 random strangers with scribbled pieces of paper who told them so.

Enshitification? .... at this point it's all dissolving into that putrid liquid dumpster juice.

No .... if people want to watch it live go ahead ... if not they can read the news story.

I just thought it was a significant world news story of a fairly good person who was able to have some international influence and use it for good causes ... a type of individual that we are sorely lacking in the world these days.

Thanks for that .... like I mentioned to friends and associates in public and online ... I thought it was just important to highlight the event as he was US President, and also most long lived US President at 100 years of age ... and the fact that after his retirement, he did so much international aide organization work, either to support or to just lend his name and personality to it.

It's becoming a rare thing to see a world leader honestly, publicly and through their own actions actually join in and take part in grass roots organizations and even get down and dirty to the point of working at an actual construction site, not just for a single photo op but on a regular basis whether cameras were rolling or not.

How many are watching the President Carter Funeral proceedings.

I have my complaints about the US and US politics and news but I wanted to watch some of this event just to see this historic event. Of all the modern US presidents, living and recently deceased, Carter was one of the most respected of them all.

Fascism is on the match. The problem is not that they are on the move. The problem is that many of us just join the march but caring about what we are doing ... or not doing.

And no I'm not calling for revolution.... I'm just calling out everyone that participates in corporate social media and wonder why they are encouraging the spreading of lies and propaganda

I always love the debate about fantasizing about anyone going to colonize Mars ..... we're having a hard time sustaining life here.

I agree but the problem is that there is a huge percentage of the population that use this dumb site as a way to collect and gather all their information about the world. The problem is not so much that fb changed, the problem is that so many people rely on it.

It had everything to do with human greed.

As long as there is the suggestion or possibility, no matter how remote that anyone of us can become enormously wealthy, we won't want to change the system.

I'm Canadian and a liberal left leaning politically. I have my complaints about the US, US government and US politicians, however I always appreciated President Jimmy Carter.

It's an historical event and one that doesn't happen often during our lifetimes.

I was wondering how many of you in the US and in the world are watching.
