Why don't we let the fucking courts decide who is and isn't guilty instead of pouring unnecessary public scrutiny onto an already difficult process?
Ok, good point. So what are you trying to say? That the general public should use the more specific word for the benefit of mathematicians?
Except that arithmetic still qualifies as maths even if it is only barely, whereas a golf cart doesn't qualify as a sports car. It's more like saying "vehicle" when you mean "kid's bicycle "; it's still technically true even though it isn't the most sophisticated.

Service vs leadership is a false dichotomy. You can (and should) be a leader who serves. Mamdani is serving NYers in a leadership position. He makes the calls and has the responsibility for decisions that serve his constituents.

Public transport is one of the only ways teenagers (among many other vulnerable groups) can get some independence in a very car-centric society. You'd be fighting an uphill battle trying convince people to exclude kids from the public transport system.
Working on curing childhood cancer is emotional because it's something that we as a society value collectively but clearly aren't compensating the work enough. Why should we pay a pittance to people who have 5+ years of training under their belt? Is it simply because they'll make more in the future? That sounds like a pretty exploitative system to me.

Look, I volunteer to respond to natural disasters. This will be very useful. Don't confuse preparedness for tragedy for planning to enact atrocities. You undermine the trust in systems that are absolutely necessary in times of great need.
