@sewing This is the same Sabrina Shorties pattern as my previous pair, but with a bit of length added to the elastics to compensate for the wideth. Wider elastic tends to be firmer. Up next, test-drive them for comfort

I avoided my sewing room for 2 weeks after I ripped a garment taking it off my mannequin. In addition to some panties, I also sewed up this Grafton, from Cashmerette, today. All that is left in c/sewing@lemmy.world

Every 3-4 years, I make a stack of briefs. I tried a new technique for applying the FOE that I am happy with. Now, I need to test-drive today and make sure the elastic is comfortable, then I can sew up the stack. The pattern is Sabrina Shorties by Made for Mermaids

first muslin of McCalls 7652. Because it's vintage, I am starting out with a pattern that is 2 sizes too small. It came out a bit small but the FBA and petite adjustments seem to be ok. I do in c/sewing@lemmy.world

@clay_pidgin No, this is a lighter one. I don't think it would be appropriate for jeans, but it's heavier than chambray.

@Mouselemming thank you! It was a 2 yard remnant from my stash. It was a choice between pockets or ruffle and the ruffle won. I call it a win because I can't believe I made it with only 2 yards.
