It comes down to how you use it, and that's why so many people have trouble with it.

This is clearly an unpopular opinion, but I can't upvote it because of how horrific it was for a lot of people.

I'm on the spectrum and without that context this post might seem really terrible. I can't stand it when I see other autistic people glorifying things that are utterly horrific just because it tickled their introverted tendencies. Just because you're autistic doesn't mean you're introverted and just because you're introverted doesn't mean you don't need social interaction. Lack of social interaction will completely destroy your mental health. The fact that you made a ton of money that year tells me everything. Many people were forced by the government to close down their businesses even if they weren't at risk. Many other people ended up unemployed when their businesses shut down from lack of income.

This post reeks of privilege.

Celebrating unimaginable suffering that led to suicide is one of those things that makes me hate being identified with other autistic people.

This isn't an unpopular opinion outside of Lemmy.

We have a problem with mega corporations asserting control over the population and the market, especially social media companies. It's pretty naive for anyone progressive to be ok with that because all it takes is someone like Elon Musk buying a platform to radically change the political landscape. Republicans could also impose laws that prevent certain ideas from propagating on social media platforms. It's pretty naive for progressives to be ok with social media censorship just because it's benefitting them for the moment.

Capitalism has a real problem now because of the level of technology that we have. There are inevitably near-monopolies because of how hard it is to start viable competitors. There are also software based monopolies because you don't have access to the iOS store on Android or the Google Play store on iOS.

I don't mind having friends that are immature but sometimes they act like I hate them if I'm not interested in dating them. My friends also know when to get serious. I sympathize with you though. Dealing with immature people in the workplace would be extremely challenging.

Religion doesn't promote hate. There are people who promote hate. Rejecting God will only bring eternal misery.

The hate and vitriol in this post proves why following God is the only path to success and happiness. You can free yourself from such misery and hate. I hope that you are able to find peace.

That assumes that people reincarnate as non humans and that they reincarnate into the same world.

The assassin turned him into a martyr. Murdering an innocent man in the name of the left only hurts their cause.

I don't agree with a lot of the conservative policies that he supported but violence and murder was wrong and must be condemned.

Being objectified and harassed sucks, but I still disagree. Dealing with creeps sucks, but you're far better off being attractive as a man or a woman than being ugly or plain. I'm on the spectrum and I'm certainly at risk of being exploited, but if you're an unattractive autistic male, you're severely disabled and you have a monumental struggle ahead of you. I still believe that disadvantaged males and incels don't have enough empathy for girls who are attractive. We might be able to get dates but we also have to deal with serious predators who will abuse us once we're alone.

If you're an unattractive autistic male, you're going to be completely screwed for jobs. I have older friends who work and they got hired at the same time as girls their age and they got dumped into jobs like bagging and denied promotion because they aren't attractive and they're denied social skills.

The dangers that come with being an attractive girl are literally life threatening but it's still understandable why there are boys who think that it's worth it from their perspective.
