I loved Morrowind. Re tv when you're pressed for time some of those series of really short episodes are great. Eg Rose Matafeo's Star Struck.

Yeah it's all I can do to even catch up with people irl once every few years, or even online, what with careers and kids and locations.

Must get better at that.

Also I've been thinking I need to get back into Skyrim, I used to really enjoy that and my irl stamina's a bit better these days so the cost benefit ratio would be a bit better.

Do you manage to game at all?

I mean I'm not exactly offended by it, but if someone uses it that's a "note to self, this person is most likely misogynist" moment for sure.

Used to play LAN games with my flatmates when I was younger.

Me too, even bought a barebones Shuttle to make it easier to go to LAN games at other people's. Ah nostalgia.

Nowadays the only people who want to play Age of Empires with me seem to live in Turkey and like to talk about how great Erdogan is.

Totally. I heard Foulkes only ran against her as a sort of service to make sure her ideas were tested and debated properly during the process.

This is economic vandalism as well as environmental destruction.

Tourism is such an important part of our economy, and our clean and green image is important for both tourism and exports.

I wondered how much money NZ makes from that massive open cast mine in Waihi and was astonished to find out the answer is nothing. There are no royalties paid, and the town itself has lower median income than other towns in the region.

even if it means house prices start going up again

They definitely want house prices to start going up again.

National campaigned on several measures that have a known effect of raising house prices e.g. narrowing the RBNZ mandate, moving the bright line test, reintroducing tax incentives.

You're right. It's like how our high rates of child respiratory illness translate into a long term burden on health system. But kids being homeless is a worse version. Unless their aim is to save money by the kids actually dying??

I don't know if social macroeconomics is a discipline but if it is then governments should have to take mandatory classes in it.

Wait so she said she specifically wants to take accommodation away from children ?

This is nightmarish.

Yeah I bet that's good, they know their stuff. I've sort of lost track of it because I can only drink decaf now (boo hiss) but tbeir one with all the Colombian beans was always great and their Green Spot one.

Pretty much. People whose wallets let them have other options mostly go to them if they're buying something that is the same quality everywhere (air beds, clothes drying racks, checkered tea towels, big plastic blanket bags with a tartan pattern) or just want to let loose on buying stuff like throws or letting their kids buy hair accessories or whatever.
