  1. You are mixing up the units here. Value is not a real money, and you can't pay salaries with value. You can pay salaries with cash.

  2. To actually get how many LOC in a kernel per person per year they produce. You need to look at git history, and do data science on it. It's doable and easy but not really my area of expertise.

  3. You need to account for that vast majority of contributors make just one patch and they are never heard from again. They don't work full time, or even part time on the kernel.

What does ls show?

you can escape special charcters with \ something like \'folder\'\$\'\\003\' might work

be careful with rm -rf as you might delete your entire disk if done badly. use some other command to test if it targets the correct directory like ls \'folder\'\$\'\\003\'

From Q&A in git repo:

Is dav2d a recursive acronym?
Yes, but it is less funny than dav1d :(, except in French ("deux-vid")

"simply pasting the text into Google Translate" oftentimes is done as cost saving with just an editing pass. From few articles I have read it comes out "good enough"

bigger problem would be if architecture provides a way to swap string to another language or is it hardcoded.

It's new funny number. Why it's funny? No one knows or it's funny because the kids decided that it is.

kdenlive is not easy and not fast.

I would try different ones and pick the best that suits you needs like shotcut or pitivi

+1 on Godot as it provides builds for your CPU (you will have headaches with that)

Other option is pico-8 or some JavaScript library to run in a browser.
